Another important activity of La Barqueta has been the organization of diverse annual exhibitions. Of particular note are the exhibitions on children’s First Communion, traditional festivals, the ladies and queens of the patron saint festivities, weddings prior to 1975, and so on. Also noteworthy is the exhibition held in October 2015 at the Casa del Fester. Entitled “History and Tradition of Benidorm,” it displayed items illustrating Benidorm’s traditions and customs, including two paintings by the artist Miguel Ribes Segorbe depicting traditional trades. It included a section dedicated to Pere Maria Orts i Bosch, who had passed away that year. This served as a tribute to his merit in having located, in the Simancas archives, the documentation on the true history of the Virgin of the Suffrage and for having written the text for its reenactment.
